# How to Check if a Phone Number is on WhatsApp

   For example, if you're checking the number **12345678**, type: **<https://wa.me/85212345678>** (where **852** is the country code for Hong Kong).
2. Press **Enter**. A prompt will appear saying: **"Open this page in WhatsApp?"** Tap **Open**.
