Businesses love using WhatsApp broadcasts to start conversations at scale—but there’s a catch:
If customers haven’t saved your number, they won’t receive your broadcast.
You’re capped at 256 recipients per list (and risk being blocked for spam).
Why? Because WhatsApp prioritizes real, personal conversations over mass messaging.
The Good News: You can bypass these limits—legally—with the right tools.
✅ Broadcast to up to 256 contacts at once.
❌ Messages only deliver if the recipient has saved your number.
❌ Displays only your phone number—no business name or branding.
✅ Same 256-recipient cap.
✅ Extra features like quick replies and away messages.
❌ No automation, CRM sync, or scaling capabilities.
✅ No 256-contact cap—broadcast to unlimited.
✅ Deliver messages even if your number isn’t saved.
✅ Display your business name in chats and notifications—so customers recognize you instantly.
✅ Full automation: AI Agent, CRM integration, Comprehensive Analytics
✅ Increase messaging limits by following WhatsApp’s rules (see below).
As an official WhatsApp API Partner, most iSlash AI customers start broadcasting to 1,000 users daily—no hacks or workarounds needed.
When you start using the WhatsApp Business API, you’ll begin with a 250 daily business-initiated conversation limit per number. This limit resets every 24 hours and applies to conversations initiated using message templates (marketing, utility, or authentication).
To increase this limit, here’s what you need to know:
1K business-initiated conversations
10K business-initiated conversations
100K business-initiated conversations
Unlimited business-initiated conversations
Complete Meta Business Verification
Maintain a medium or high-quality rating on your number
Wait for Meta’s system to approve an increase
Once you reach 1,000/day, future increases are automatic—based on your messaging volume and quality.
If Business Verification was rejected: You can resubmit doc open direct support ticket.
If Business is verified but still limited: Ensure you’re sending high-quality, relevant messages. Meta periodically reviews activity and may approve increases later.
Once you reach the 1,000/day threshold, WhatsApp evaluates your number every 24 hours.
✅ Connected status: Phone number must be active
✅ Quality rating: Maintain "Medium" or "High"
✅ Usage: Send at least 50% of your current limit (e.g. 500+ messages if you're at 1K/day) over 7 days
If all conditions are met, your limit increases by one tier.
If your quality rating drops to "Low," your limit decreases immediately.
Your quality rating is everything. It’s updated every 7 days and based on how customers interact with your messages (e.g., reports, blocks).
🟢 Green (High Quality) – Customers are engaging positively.
🟡 Yellow (Medium Quality) – Some negative feedback.
🔴 Red (Low Quality) – Lots of complaints, at risk of downgrade.
Get clear opt-ins before sending any message.
Include an easy "STOP" option in every broadcast.
Segment your audience for better relevance.
Monitor open/reply rates and improve content accordingly.
